Public space on the roof of the Silk Factory

purpose.

To create a multifunctional space on the open terrace of the Silk Factory art cluster

Roof Garden.

The main purpose of the facility is to organize a diverse space for recreation with the possibility of including commercial activities. The bar and lounge area with a stage on the right side of the roof flows into the coworking space in the center. The most open part is given over to a herb garden, where large plants are also placed in pots.
A single roof structure combines canopies, benches, and swings, creating a cohesive space.

Layout Solution.

Zoning
By dividing the space with planters and small architectural forms, we created three separate zones, different in appearance and content, serving as a bar, coworking space, and relaxation area.
Load Limitation
To create a space with a lot of greenery, it was necessary to plant large shrubs. To ensure the permissible load, we placed them on the axes of the lower floor supports.
